Cookies on This Site
Many sites hide a long table of trackers behind their cookie notice. Ours is short, because there is only one item to declare.
The single thing we store
- What it is
- A small note recording whether you pressed accept or decline on the banner.
- Where it lives
- In your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is not a cookie sent back and forth with every page request, and it never reaches us.
- Why it exists
- So the banner does not greet you again on every article you open.
- How long it lasts
- Until you clear it yourself or your browser removes site data.
What you will not find
There are no advertising cookies, no audience measurement or analytics tools, no retargeting tags and no share buttons that report back to social networks. Fonts and images come from our own domain, so third parties do not get a peek at your visit through them either. The full picture is in our Privacy Notice.
Clearing your choice
If you want the banner to ask again, remove the stored data for this site:
- Chrome or Edge: open the padlock or site-information icon beside the address, choose the site settings or cookies option, and delete the stored data.
- Firefox: select the padlock, then the option to clear cookies and site data.
- Safari: go to Settings, then Privacy, manage website data, search for this site and remove it.
- Phones and tablets: look in the browser's privacy or site settings for a way to clear data for individual sites.
Private or incognito windows usually forget the choice automatically once you close them. Since declining switches nothing off that was not already off, the site works the same either way.
